Granville Island Brewery - Vancouver, BC (Approx. 1000 sq ft)
I was hired to design and paint a large mural on the Granville Island Brewery in Vancouver, BC through VMF 2022. The creative direction was to highlight the unique opportunities and activities we have around us in British Columbia, focusing on fun and leisure in the outdoors. VMF worked with the building tenant Granville Island Brewing to gain approvals from the building owners (CMHC) for painting a mural on the exterior facade of the brewery. Granville Island Brewing created a new visual identity for their brand and was looking to add a mural to augment its brand’s connection to Vancouver and the creative energy of Granville Island.
There were various concepts submitted until the final design was approved over three weeks and the application of the mural took two weeks.

NUttea vancouver 2022
Kitsilano - Vancouver, BC (Approx. 225 sq ft)
I was hired by the franchise owner of the first Nuttea café in Vancouver, BC to create a whimsical outdoor scene with some of the wildlife you can find in British Columbia. The creative direction I had received through the owners was to use the existing brand colours and incorporating the nut dispensers found in every Nuttea café, along with some iconic landmarks of the Kitsilano area, showing animals enjoying nature with the city in the background.
The design and application of this mural took three weeks.

Cambie & 18th (Cambie Village) - Vancouver, BC (Approx. 400 sq ft)
I was hired to design and paint two murals in the Cambie Village neighborhood in Vancouver, BC through VMF 2021. The creative direction I had received through the organizers was to create an engaging and entertaining atmosphere for children and families of the area. The artwork was designed with the idea of representing the neighboring businesses and community that include: child care, veterinary, schools, ice cream shop as well as various restaurants and shops. The final concept was to have a diverse and playful collection of all types of interesting characters using a repetitive pattern as the base layout with an inviting and joyful aesthetic.
The initial concept took about a week and the application of both murals was two weeks.

Collingwood neighbourhood house - Rise community health centre 2020
Joyce/Collingwood - Vancouver, BC (Approx. 200 sq ft.)
This design is a collection of specific and unique characteristics to the Joyce-Collingwood area that were designed to create an inviting and interesting piece to welcome guests into the clinic. Using bold blocks of vibrant colour, I wanted  to communicate positivity, optimism and community with  clean flowing lines intertwining and connecting the entire piece. The mural is meant to be enjoyed as a static image or as a fun activity to identify all of the references while in the waiting area. Elements from the mural were unified and combined with the RISE logo and core values to create a second piece in the reception area.

commercial drive coffee bar - Vancouver, Bc (approx. 50 sq ft.)
This was sponsored by the City of Vancouver in participation with The Drive Coffee Bar/Commercial Drive Coffee Roasters to help cover the boarded-up store fronts around the city due to business closures during the COVID19 pandemic. The owners wanted a positive message to be outside of the shop so I decided to design and paint a 'COVID Community' where neighbours helped each other during a difficult and troubling time.
